
Behind the Scenes With Dylan Meistrich Music
Multi-faceted composer Dylan Meistrich has worked extensively in film and television for many years, having served as composer or assistant composer for numerous feature-length and short films, television shows, and web series, as well as orchestrated, produced, and/or arranged several projects for top-tier composers and musicians. Upon graduating Berklee College of Music Cum Laude, Dylan began his career as an assistant to Shawn K. Clement, one of the most renowned composers of contemporary television shows and films of his day, including Buffy The Vampire Slayer, MTV reality shows, TruTV reality series ("World's Wildest" etc., the George Lucas produced film Quantum Quest (recorded with an 80-piece orchestra at Skywalker Ranch Studios), and many others. Dylan has also served as assistant orchestrator and music copyist for the highly respected and prominent composer Nic Tenbroek, composer of such films as A Thousand Acres starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Jessica Lange, and Dominion, starring Stellan Skarsgard, as well as numerous episodes of shows like Treme and Survivor. Over the years, Dylan has contributed original scores, arrangements, and sound design for a myriad of projects and music libraries, including the TV shows Ghost Hunters, Survivor, King of the Nerds, and The Kardashians, among others, the jazz album Robert Davi Sings Sinatra (recorded live at Capitol Record Studios), and the films She Wants Me (starring Josh Gad, Charlie Sheen, and Hilary Duff) and Brightest Star. Recently, Dylan received a full scholarship to pursue his Master's Degree in Music Composition at University of California Santa Barbara.
